This certificate introduces students to the African, biblical, historical, and cultural foundations of Hoodoo and its relationship to the Black Church. The course explores how African American spiritual traditions preserved ancestral memory, healing, protection, prayer, biblical power, sacred objects, and community survival through slavery, segregation, church life, and modern spiritual practice.

This class does not teach reckless superstition or spiritual gimmicks. It teaches cultural memory, sacred responsibility, historical understanding, and practical spiritual literacy.
